The Seniors-Faculty Ball had been celebrated in March 13,2009 at Ilocos Sur National High School Centennial Gym from 3:00-8:00pm. As a senior student, I attended the said occasion together with my co-seniors. I was an usherette together with Angelica Marie Rafanan. Actually, it was my first time to usher in an occasion in our school and it was a great experience for me especially it is a gathering for us seniors to pay tribute to our dedicated teachers that molded us from First year to Fourth year.

After the Seniors-Faculty Ball, Recognition Day came in which the students that worked a lot through the school year will reap the fruit of their hard works. I was glad that I made it on the Top 30 students which I had the award for the diligence in studies. I was an awardee of the Citizenship Advancement Training which was the Loyalty Award and as an Special Science Class student, I had a medal for being a part of it.

Indeed, this two programs are just the beginning of the last days of being a high school student. April 3 will be our Baccalaureate Mass and Saturday-April 4,2009 at exactly 7:30am is the start of marching of my fellow graduates waiting for the confirmation and announcement that we are already graduates and are ready to step in the new stage of life.

To my fellow graduates, I salute all of you. Congratulations to all of us!!! Good luck and God bless!!!

Graduation Day! It fills the heart with mixed feelings -- fulfillment and sadness, anxiety and eagerness. 'Look out for the sharks,' warns one professor. 'Learn to identify opportunity,' says another. The uncertainty of the future looms large over us as we spread out our wings. Armed with diplomas and idealistic dreams, we charge ahead with enthusiasm.

The Graduation Day is nearing. It is just a few days and we will part our ways to search for our own future. Some will stay here while others will be on other places. Now, let's have an insight about our forth coming Graduation day.

I know that almost all of us, when our Alma Mater song will be sung, will have teary eyes and will hug our best of friends, classmates, teachers and even enemies. We will be emotional in this day and thank you words will be echoing inside and outside the hall. We will say goodbye for a while but will promise to come back and meet again in the same old place. those tears flowing in our eyes will be the signs of fulfillment-for we have satisfactorily fulfilled our requirements to graduate; sadness-for we will be parting our ways to search for our own future; eagerness-for we will be heading in a new step in our lives which is the college life; and promises-for as we leave our Alma Mater, we promise to do our best to pay the sacrifices and hard works for us.

The boys will be handsome and the girls too, will be beautiful in this one momentous day. Each one of us will wear tour own best smiles for we will be capturing the moments of this one special day. Graduation Day will be tearful yet it will be full of beautiful hopes and dreams which we will try to come true.

After the ceremony, some of us will surely be in our friends' houses for the blow out. We will be having much fun in the end of the day but at the back of our mind are the memories we made in the four walls of our school

Never thee less, if we will study well, we will be good children in our own places and will soon be the pride of our country.

March 13, 2009- last High School Day for the Seniors of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS).

The celebration started with a parade from the school. Then we walked into the Quezon Avenue and when we reached Luisa Trading, we had our turn back to school. The parade was shorter today than last year. I carried the banner of our section (IV-Maxwell) together with Edward during the parade. It is also a pleasure for us Maxwellians that our classmate, Angelica Marie Rafanan, was the third princess. The morning activity was the Ceremonial Parade and the Field Demo only but the afternoon activities were exciting because we had the Battle of the Bands and the Fashion Show.

As a CAT Officer (I am the Band Officer), we had the Ceremonial Parade while the lower year levels had their field demonstration. When we were still in our first three years, we wanted to had this Ceremonial Parade but when we were practicing for it, we almost walked out of the field because we need to stand the heat of the sun for almost an hour. We thought that it was very easy because the cadets and cadettes were just standing and they were just doing the command given to them. But I just want to remind you, it is not easy to be standing under the sun because if you have a poor immune system, you might suddenly collapse or worse, you might get sick especially when you are not used on standing under the scorching heat of the sun.

One of the afternoon activities was the Fashion Show that was organized by the Supreme Student Organization (SSG). I didn't had a plan in joining the show but Jaycelle included me on the list of models. I really don't want to join because they said that we will be the one who will provide our outfits for the show but she said that each of the models will have their sponsors so I just accepted their offer. Angelica became my sponsor. I joined in the two segments-formal and summer wear. Well, it was fun because I had the chance to gain more self confidence plus I helped the SSG in their fund raising.

High School Day '09 will always be in my mind for it was the best High School Day in my entire life as a high school student. It became one of the major breaks in my life for I had a boost in my self confidence and I helped my school in raising a fund that will be used in improving Ilocos Sur National High School.

Blogging, making HTML files and using the Notepad- we are through with those activities. Now, we are learning how to make our own movies with Windows Movie Maker.

We made three movies. One is the karaoke which we put lyrics. Second is the 'Lupang Hinirang' and lastly, our personalized movie. I enjoyed making a movie but it was difficult to have a very good one because you need to see every detail. It consumes much time.

But you know, it is not that difficult to make a movie but it makes an impression that when you make a movie, it is very difficult because you need to have the correct timing for each pictures or videos that you make. You need to be really meticulous if you want to make a quality movie. In making a movie, think first what you want. Then, project the style and the effects you want to put and apply. After planning, you are now ready to construct your movie.

First, you need to have the necessary things you need- the pictures, the background music or audio and if you have a video, you may import it. After having those things that you need, you are now ready to make your movie. On the story time line, you can put the video transitions and effects while on the story board, you can edit or adjust the timing of your movie.

Movie making may consume much time but if you'll put an effort on making it, it will surely be a very good movie. It just need patience and an artistic and a creative mind.

It was my first time to attend the Prom and I was so excited. Yes, I admit that I was excited but I noticed that my father is more excited than me.

I did not go to school in the morning because I prepared myself for the event. I had a body scrub and had my hair conditioned. After the body scrub and hair conditioning, I noticed that my skin was smooth. My hair, it seemed that I had a hot oil.

Brian, our visitor and I were the only one who was left in our house. We cooked 'mechado- afritada chicken' and 'lemon- butter chicken'. The food really tastes good. If you had tasted it, I am sure you'll say, "Sauce pa lang ulam na!"

My father and Brian accompanied me in going to school for the Prom. While I was inside the hall, Brian was at the sound system and taking pictures. When I saw him, he was dancing in the beat of Totoy Bibo. I was laughing at him when I saw him swaying his hips. I didn't finish the Prom. At 7:50pm, I already went out of the hall and told my escorts (my father and Brian) to go home. We were going out of the gate when Brian told my father that he wants to go to Jollibee. We went at Plaza Maestro but when he saw Red Ribbon, he told again to my father that we'd rather go there. BUt do yuo know were we ate dinner? We just went to Shakey's.

At Shakey's, we ate spaghetti, a thin crust pizza, a mushroom soup, spanish breads, potato chips and for the dessert, an ice cream on a chocolate cake. Since it ws an acoustic night and any one can jam with the singers, Brian sung with them. One of the singers called me "Miss Casual". My tummy was full. We even took home the food that we didn't eat. When we arrived home, I immediately went to the comfort room to vomit. After I vomited, I ate again the potato chips. Brian and I watched Shrek 1,2 and 3 until one o'clock in the morning.

I had a great time in our Prom day, February 13, because I had a good time with my father. Actually, when the song "Dance With My Father' was sung, tears sprouted from my eyes because it is my song for my father. I saw on his eyes that he was overwhelmed when he saw me crying.

February 13...I will never forget you!!!

The earth shaking moment is gone and now we are heading to the final test of being high school students.

The recent Third Periodical Test is more easier than the first two quarter tests maybe its because I have been more serious in my studies and I payed attention during our class discussions.

The periodical test was rescheduled to January 19 and 20 because of Vigan Fiesta. Second year and Fourth year students are scheduled to have their tests in the afternoon and in the morning, First year and Third year students.

During the test, I sat in the front seats. More likely, I would like to stay there to avoid some 'sharp shooters' and 'giraffes'. I felt some nervous while the test is on going but I told myself that if I'll be nervous the chances are I will have mental block and I will not think well. I did not finished the test in Advanced Chemistry because the time limit was over. Though I did not finished some of my tests, I am hoping and wishing that I'll still have high scores. My only problem is Physics because it is my waterloo. Even though I am not in Physics I still tried my best to answer the questions with all my best. The rest of the tests are quite easier for me.

I know that this last grading period will be the best period for I will give all my best to my make my grades higher. I aimed high before I entered the Fourth year life and I know that I will soar high in the end of my high school life.

    "Oh, holy night
    the stars are brightly shining
    it is the night of
    our dear saviors birth..."

Its nice to reminisce the past Christmas vacation. I had a lot of time to relax and enjoy the vacation with my family. I am free from the stress and pressure the school gives me.

Before Christmas, I had a whirlwind tour in Abra. We got up as early as 5am then we traveled for two hours. At 3pm, we went back to Vigan. My mother was already tired when we arrived so she didn't had time to prepare something for the Noche Buena. five minutes before midnight, a special friend called me up to greet me a "Merry Christmas!". I was happy then because it was quite a long time that I heared his voice. It was a long conversation and it took up to an hour. In the morning, we finished the divider between my brother's room and mine. My father made a built-in cabinet.

Hours can be counted, every second in each minute. I am so excited and happy and hoping that I will have a peaceful, blessed new Year but then, our neighbor, drunk, started to mock on us and started a quarrel. I felt too much embarrassment because we have visitors. Though we had prepared plenty food for the Medya Noche, I didn't had the appetite to eat. Our neighbor just stopped mocking when we called for the police. It's almost twelve, the countdown is starting, then my phone rung. It's my friend again! I was surprised when he immediately shouted and greeted me a "Happy New Year!". Its nice to have someone greeting you in a moment like this. Though we had a problem before New Year came, we still celebrated it happily.

A silent Christmas and a blessed New Year came to our home. It makes me smile when I remember the things I did on this ocassions with my family and friends.
